Alvanley & Manley Village School
It has been a pleasure for me, as a Parish Councillor, to be able to attend
the Nativity occasions of Alvanley and Manley Village School. The Infants,
Early Years, held a Nativity in Alvanley Church on 6th Dec. and it was such
a joyous occasion for the parents to be able to see just how well the
children were able to perform. The staff had organised such a wonderful
performance and the children responded in such an ideal way. They were
all a credit to our school.
On the 14th December in Alvanley Church the Juniors held their Christmas
occasion together with the local Highfield Male Voice Choir conducted by
Gary Hill and accompanied by Helen Jackson. The Church was full with
parents and local villagers who wanted to support the occasion. The
children performed in a very well organised and distinguished way which
reflected the skills of the staff in such a favourable manner. There was a
tremendous atmosphere which was enjoyed by all who managed to
attend.
May the Head, The Staff and the Children enjoy a Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year before the next school term begins and the hard work
commences once again.
Congratulations should also be extended to the school's efforts at the Helsby HO HO HO where the Christmas Trailer was decorated so brilliantly and the children did so well attending the occasion in spite of the inclement weather. The hard work by the staff, parents and the children was very much appreciated by all the people watching the parade.
